GenieKnows Review
GenieKnows is a Canadian ad network founded in 1999 and is one of over a hundred such programs we review on experienced-people.co.uk. Apart from regular contextual banners and search boxes, the network supports several other interesting ad types including hot spot ads which are highly targeted sponsored links that pay well. Additionally, GenieKnows supports two different exit traffic monetization tools that redirect exiting visitors to sponsored listings pages or even directly to sponsored websites. The network's ad products are illustrated in more detail in their official media kit presentation (.pdf, 933 KB). Their inventory is not particularly large but they are partnered with many other networks so this problem is partially offset with third-party offers, which, as expected, impact on the per-click rates. GenieKnows supports both CPC and CPM campaigns, as expected from most contextual ad networks, and pays through PayPal, check, wire or Payoneer. Sadly, their official website is missing a lot of essential information and most other payment specifics that are of great interest to every publisher such as payment frequency and minimum payout. Support seems OK and they reply within 24 hours. However, they are reachable only through the generic contact forms and technical inquiries will most often be forwarded and thus take more time to answer. The number of totally different ad approaches and the high level of customization offered by the network give publishers a lot of flexibility in monetizing their websites and is the main advantage of GenieKnows. However, their limited inventory means that the network might not be your first choice or at least not your main monetization method. Regardless, their exit traffic monetization methods are unusual (and strong) enough to be easily used in conjunction with most other ad network advertisements as long as you don't mind redirecting your exiting visitors to sponsored pages (instead of where they want to go!).
