ExoClick Review
Founded in 2006, ExoClick is a fast-growing ad network that manages 1.7 billion ad impressions per day and is one of over a hundred such programs we review on experienced-people.co.uk. ExoClick accepts adult, gambling and dating websites and monetizes their traffic. The network's inventory includes many "popular" adult, gambling and dating ads but is largely not exclusive. Ads are sold with CPM, CPC, CPL and CPA commissions, depending on ad type and advertiser but the network says that publishers are paid following the amount of revenue their ad spots generate per thousand ad impressions (even CPA campaigns are subject to some number cooking that involves impressions). Since the network accepts adult, gambling and dating traffic their advertisements and ad formats are tailor-made for such audiences. The network supports typical banners, text links, text ads, pop-ups and pop-unders. In addition to the aforementioned typical ad types, ExoClick also supports some more "specialized" and unconventional ads including in-video ads, mobile ads, interstitial (or full-page) ads as well as instant message "spoof" ads. The instant message spoofs are ads that are made to look just like messages from social networks of messenger programs in order to trick users into clicking them; nasty but effective! ExoClick campaigns are sometimes flagged as malware due to their nature of their ads and specifically their misleading instant message spoofs. (This is mentioned in their FAQ too!) Control tools are good and include and reporting tools include real time reporting for all ad types. Support is relatively slow to respond but seemingly competent. ExoClick's official website is decent but heavy on hype. The network dishes out multiple guarantees in their publisher page but mostly fails to make publishers feel more at ease because of the hype. Compared to other adult-friendly ad networks ExoClick have an average performance and some publishers complain about relatively low earnings as well as minor delays in payment. Regardless, their ad types are really handy for adult, gambling and dating sites and will yield lots of impressions. Converting those into money is the tricky part though!
