eGameAds Review
eGameAds is a medium-sized ad network that is dedicated to video games advertising and is one of over a hundred such programs we review on experienced-people.co.uk. The network serves ads that exclusively target the video games niche and all its sub-niches including MMO (massively multiplayer online), RPG (role-playing games), FPS (first-person shooters), virtual world, social/casual gaming and more. Their ad inventory is extensive and includes both syndicated and exclusive offers. eGameAds strives for 100% fill rate which, under certain circumstances, they are able to achieve due to the nature of the video games niche. The network offers CPC, CPM and CPA campaigns, with CPA campaigns tracking whole game sales or monthly subscriptions and consequently paying very well. eGameAds supports many ad formats with a focus on flashy and eye-catching effects. Along with regular banners and text ads the network also supports video ads, website skins (clickable backgrounds with sponsored content), a wide variety of expandable advertisements and more ad types. Banners usually come in six IAB-compliant sizes (see quick fact #5) but a wide variety of custom sizes is also supported. Even though eGameAds is not a particularly large network, they do have great customer service and decent reporting tools with real time stats and metrics. Control tools are OK but not spectacular, with the main highlight being the interesting geo-targeting options eGameAds provides. The network's official website is somewhat poor, except for their FAQs. The ad code is not readily available, making installation a bit more complicated than usual (it is usually provided via email by eGameAds) but the helpful tech support staff more than offsets that problem. In closing, eGameAds seems like a decent ad network for publishers seeking to monetize websites in the video games niche. Certain CPA campaigns for popular games convert very well and pay generous commissions.
