Casale Media is a strong competitor in the world of online ad networks, having gained a lot of popularity, especially with larger publishers, since their launch in 2003 and is one of over a hundred such programs we review on experienced-people.co.uk. They offer a wide selection of ad types to choose from, including typical In-Banner and Pop Under ads as well as less common options like the interesting interactive, expandable video banners and more. The program offers a rather spectacular 70/30 revenue share with their publishers and their payment model supports both CPC and CPM. CPM rates are variable and differ from publisher to publisher as they are tied directly to the performance of each publisher’s inventory. Casale Media provides global coverage and accepts traffic from every country. However, most of their inventory is targeted towards U.S. and Canada with exclusive inventory representation for these countries. Casale Media isn’t particularly newbie-friendly as the whole network is more geared towards high-traffic websites. Apart from the usual restrictions (no adult/illegal etc content) applying sites must be able to reach at least 50,000 unique visitors each month to even be considered and in order to enjoy all the benefits, publishers must have a monthly reach of 250,000 unique visitors or more. Namely, the benefits publishers enjoy if they reach at least 250,000 UV/mo include the fixed rate program, in which unallocated inventory is secured under a guaranteed CPM, and the “100% unallocated” program, in which a publisher’s entire unsold inventory is purchased through a single site-wide buy and virtually every management aspect is taken care of by a dedicated Publisher Relationship Manager. The interface is handy and easily accessible, allowing complete control over ad placement, group targeting and any other parameter one expects to find in a premium ad network. However, the interface is rather complicated (this is partially offset by their solid tech support) and in order to set it up and manage it effectively, the program requires a moderate amount of web skills and experience, another reason why it’s not friendly to beginners. The broad online consensus about Casale Media appears to be rather positive, with comments and reviews giving particular praise to the program’s rates and revenue share as well as their good support. Most complaints revolve around the program’s pickiness when it comes to accepting new publishers; something we personally don’t think is necessarily bad. Overall, Casale Media is a trustworthy ad network and a good way to monetize your website as long as most of your traffic comes from the U.S. or Canada. However, Casale Media truly shines only for publishers who reach 250,000 unique visitors or more across their websites.
